The UMC Utrecht (Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht) is known internationally for his research and treatments using image-guided techniques. For several years, research into a new treatment for breast cancer started, to find a less invasive therapy. By using ultrasound, breast tumors heat and tumor cells die off. In this way patients can be treated without surgery. Professor Marco Van Vulpen, (MRI-guided radiotherapy) is presenting us this medical progress. (Interview in EN).
